Matt O’Brien

Matt O’Brien is the Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships for Rock Entertainment Group (REG), which includes the Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA), Cleveland Monsters (AHL), Cleveland Charge (G League), Cavs Legion Gaming Club (2KL) and the Chief Revenue Officer of 100 Thieves, a premium lifestyle brand and gaming organization. O’Brien and the Partnership teams at each organization drive compelling campaigns for clients, cultivate new business, as well as retain and grow current partner revenue and strategies.

A 32-year veteran of sports marketing and partnerships, O’Brien is in his eighth season with the Cavaliers. He previously worked in Australia as the National Basketball League’s (NBL) Chief Commercial Officer. He also served a two-year stint at the University of Notre Dame as Senior Vice President of Development. O’Brien has earned a reputation as a leader and franchise builder, launching five new franchises and ballparks in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball over a 20-year career in minor league baseball.

Originally from Wayne’s World (Aurora, IL), O’Brien now resides in Avon, Ohio with his wife, Christina, and daughters, Lily and Riley.
