NSF Challenge Cup Competition

NSF Challenge Cup Competition

The NSF Challenge Cup Competition is an undergraduate case-style competition that started in 2021 and was created to meet the needs of individuals just beginning their professional sports careers from the top undergraduate programs. The NSF is excited to announce that the Challenge Cup Competition is returning this Fall! This unique opportunity puts the students’ skills to the test and is a great way for students to discover how prepared they are for the real world of business in sports. This competition is held virtually on Zoom!

The competition will be held from October 2nd – October 16th. Twelve (12) teams will compete in a 2 week-long multidisciplinary case study designed to push students to excel in a real-world, fast-paced environment — similar to working conditions in the sports industry. Only four (4) students from each school’s undergraduate program will present their findings. Each case is based on a sports-related topic and allows students to showcase the tools obtained in their program’s curriculum to a panel of sports industry professionals, topical experts, and academic experts.

The winner of the 2023 Challenge Cup will receive an all-paid-for trip to the 2024 National Sports Forum in Pittsburgh, PA. This includes flights, hotel, and 5 NSF attendee badges (1 executive director and the 4 participating students).
