The program offers a special weekend for all nurse professionals to celebrate together at America’s #1 Ballpark. In an effort to continually improve and enhance the program, the Padres joined forces with to create an award to honor some of San Diego county’s stand out nurses in a pre-game ceremony. Fellow nurses nominated each other to be one of the 10 Nurse Heroes honored on the field. Along with the recognition, each Nurse Hero received two tickets to the game and personalized scrubs. One special nurse, Amy Heiss, was given the opportunity to throw the first pitch. All nurses who purchased the dedicated Theme Game package received one of the four Padres-themed retractable badge holders to commemorate the weekend.
