Member Bio

Tom Hoof was named Vice President of Marketing in June 2020. His responsibilities include overseeing the marketing strategy for the team including brand development, advertising, digital and social media, promotions, Business Intelligence and in-game entertainment. Since his arrival with the Senators the organization has steadily outperformed their targets in ticket sales, social media growth, broadcast numbers. The organization has also made headlines for marketing initiatives such as the Alex Trebek draft pick announcement of Tim St├╝tzle and the first ever Pride t-shirt bowl takeover.

Prior to his arrival in Ottawa, his career includes serving as the Vice President of Marketing and Community Relations at the Tampa Bay Rays. While there, he developed the Rays’ postgame concert series and oversaw the development of the top promotional giveaways in professional sports as recognized by ESPN. While at the University of South Florida, the football campaign was recognized as the best in collegiate athletics. He also spent a decade in partnership marketing for Walt Disney World, where he worked on the opening of Disney Cruise Lines, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and attractions like Rock ‘N Roller Coaster and Test Track. Tom has three adult kids and resides in Ottawa with his wife Debbie.
