Christi Nelson, Vice President, Partner Activations, T-Mobile Arena & MGM Grand Garden Arena/AEG Global Partnerships, currently leads partner activations at Las Vegas’ premier properties T-Mobile Arena and MGM Grand Garden Arena. Nelson has been with AEG for 17 years, working across 3 divisions on multiple sides of the sports and entertainment industries.
In her current position as the activation lead for AEG Global Partnerships in Las Vegas, Nelson’s primary responsibility is to activate the arena’s Naming Rights, Founding, and Venue Partners; tenant partners UFC and Vegas Golden Knights; key business partners of both arenas; and event-specific partners for Live Nation, AEG, UFC, PBR, and iHeart among others. Nelson also assists in the partnership renewal and sales process and is lead on selling OOH (out of home) assets for T-Mobile Arena.
Nelson began her career as a marketing intern with the inaugural season of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) Columbia Inferno and joined House of Blues in her first professional marketing and promotions position. After leaving House of Blues, Nelson moved to South Florida, working in marketing for Ticketmaster, and representing clients such as the Live Nation, Fantasma Productions/AEG Live, Miami Dolphins, Miami Marlins, Florida Panthers, Miami Heat, Feld Entertainment, and many others.
Nelson moved to Chicago, IL in 2005, joining AEG for the launch of Toyota Park and working with the MLS Chicago Fire on one of the nation’s first multi-purpose soccer stadiums. After the resounding success of Toyota Park, Nelson transferred to Las Vegas to join AEG Presents at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, working with legendary headliners Celine Dion and Elton John, among many others.
