Speaker Bio

Trip Durham is a veteran of nearly 30 years in the sports administration industry. From 1991 through 2009, his work in minor league baseball and college athletics allowed him unique opportunities to learn and to lead.

Since 2010, Trip has operated 2D Consulting, LLC, a company he founded to collaborate with external relations managers, athletic directors, and conference commissioners. His professional experiences have created a depth of understanding about what is of great importance to athletic departments: increasing revenue, developing a deeper connection to a brand, and creating strong fan affinity.

A 1990 graduate from East Carolina University, Trip served eight years on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators and he holds the title of Past President of the organization. He has produced or co-produced over 1,500 events during his time in sports administration. Trip worked in television as a local anchor and regional studio host for news and sports programming. He has also served as an executive director and play-by-play announcer for an ESPN nationally distributed all-star game. He is currently the public address announcer for Duke Football at Wallace Wade Stadium, a post he has held for eleven seasons. He is the public address announcer for Duke Basketball in Cameron Indoor Stadium, a seat he has had the great fortune to reside for the past ten seasons.
