Digital Marketing Producer
Laura Waters-Brown is a dynamic, multi-faceted and digitally-savvy professional who is fluent in the many languages of social media which have reimagined the way in which the global community engages with one another. Since 2016, she has driven the digital content strategy for golf’s “5th major” THE PLAYERS Championship, overseeing THE PLAYERS website, social media presence and digital ad landscape in strategic alignment with THE PLAYERS brand and key pillars. Her use of analytics and master of the Facebook Blueprint curriculum has helped to streamline internal processes, increase revenue and increase THE PLAYERS fan engagement levels during peak and off-peak seasons.
Prior to joining the PGA TOUR and THE PLAYERS Championship, she spent two years working for the NFL’s Cleveland Browns in her home state of Ohio, where she graduated with her MBA and Master’s in Sport Administration from the nation’s top ranked sport management school, Ohio University.
Laura’s decision to consult on local public policy, researching and educating on the benefits and dangers of social media, stems from her desire to see children and teens use social media more responsibly. Her familiarity with local politics comes as no surprise, as she watched her mother successfully run multiple campaigns as a child. In her free time, Laura enjoys great music, laughter with friends and family and spoiling her puppy E-Z with the latest and greatest in dog accessories.
With her favorite scripture in mind (Mark 9:23), she truly believes that “anything is possible to those that believe.”
