Speaker Bio

My name’s Jessica, and I’m excited to connect with you. As an entrepreneur, speaker and business owner, I am passionate about advancing equitable access by breaking barriers to communication. But creating equitable access is an ongoing effort — and one that can only be accomplished together.

There are few things as powerful as the human connection. I’m committed to elevating and connecting entrepreneurs who are driven to create social change and equitable opportunities.

My determination to level the playing field stems from being a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA), using American Sign Language as my first language. The language and culture within the Deaf community has shaped me into a passionate human with a goal to create a more equitable world for everyone through connection. It is also what led me down the path of adopting my daughter, who was born Deaf, but later regained her hearing.

I’m the founder of the iYellow Group, dedicated to creating equitable access for the Deaf, Blind, DeafBlind and Low Vision communities. I am a member and global committee member for Entrepreneurs’ Organization, a member and investor in Young Entrepreneur Council, and an advisory board member for Disability:IN DC Metro.

On the personal side, I’m a mother to three wild, crazy and loving kids and am married to Patrick Borlik. We are both entrepreneurs, avid travelers, and health and wellness junkies making the most out of this beautiful life.
