Jasmine James

Director, Inclusion & Belonging

Speaker Bio

Jasmine N. James serves as Director of Inclusion and Belonging for Tepper Sports and Entertainment, the parent company of Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC, and Bank of America Stadium. Jasmine oversees all Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging efforts, works to eliminate social barriers for historically marginalized groups, and creates an inclusive work environment where individuals can function as their authentic selves.

Before Jasmine’s career with the Carolina Panthers as an Account Executive, she worked in Sales for the St. Louis Cardinals and Baylor University Athletics. During the early years of her tenure with the Carolina Panthers Jasmine was promoted as the first Group Sales Manager – making her the first African American Female to serve in such a capacity. In addition, Jasmine’s drive and tenacious spirit drove her to formulate a Group Sales Program for both the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC, a one-of-a-kind program designed to create long lasting memories. While fulfilling such enormous roles, Jasmine simultaneously served and remains the Chair of Stride, the first Black Employee Resource Group within a National Football League Club, and the organization’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council. After two years of leading Stride, Jasmine’s exemplary work and success afforded her the opportunity to pivot from her full-time Sales role to a full-time Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion role where she focuses on holistic approaches to establishing a representative and inclusive workplace. Jasmine is a proud alumna of Kentucky State University, one of our nation’s one hundred and seven Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). She is passionate about creating opportunities for Black and Brown business professionals in sports and entertainment to ensure everyone has a seat at the table.
