Bill King is a founding staff member of Sports Business Journal and the go-to source for news, trends and analysis around the development of legal sports betting in the United States. King also plays a central role on SBJ’s special projects and has profiled many of the industry’s leading figures, including Bud Selig (twice), Dan Rooney, Jerry Jones and Jerry Reinsdorf. He joined the magazine for its launch in 1998 after a dozen years as a sports writer and columnist at newspapers in Florida. His SBJ work has been honored 12 times by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers and the Society of Professional Journalists. King is a graduate of the University of Florida, a husband and a father of twin sons.
