Mike Redlick is the Associate Chair of the DeVos Sport Business Management Program at the University of Central Florida. The DeVos Program is nationally recognized as a top sports program by the NY Times, Wall Street Journal and ESPN the Magazine. In 2015, the DeVos Sport Business Management Program was ranked #2 globally and in the U.S. by SportBusiness International.
Redlick has over 20 years of sports industry experience with properties such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, Memphis Grizzlies, and Cleveland Cavaliers. At IMS Redlick served as SVP, Chief Sales Officer and Chief Marketing Officer for three racing seasons. Redlick oversaw all revenue streams including corporate partnerships, suites, hospitality, ticket sales, licensing and marketing, his efforts led to a 25%+ increase in sales revenues. Prior to joining IMS, Redlick was Vice Preseident of Business Development for the SF 49ers where he oversaw corporate partnerships sales & service as well as suite sales.
During his tenure as EVP of Business Operations with the Grizzlies Redlick helped the franchise increase sponsorship revenue from zero in 2001 to more than $20 million in 2006, leading the NBA’s smallest market team to top-10 status in sponsorship revenue. He also negotiated the team’s eight-figure naming rights deal with FedEx and was a key member of the senior management team that developed the state-of-the-art, $250-million FedExForum arena.
Redlick received a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in sports administration from Ohio University. He also received his juris doctorate from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University. Redlick and his wife, Danielle, have a daughter, Jadyn, and a son, Sawyer.
