Session Title: "THE FASTEST GROWING REVENUE STREAM IN SPORTS"

Session Description: Tickets, sponsorship, and merchandise: three revenue streams that teams have historically relied on to keep the lights on.  But did you know there is a $180 billion industry that is virtually untouched by stadiums and arenas? Corporate and private events in sports venues currently only account for 6% of events planned in the US but with that number rapidly growing, teams are finding more and more opportunities to use their venues to increase revenue in a non-traditional way.

In this session, you will learn the importance of having a designated private event sales and operation team, ways to grow your private events business, how to incorporate private events into growth of other departments, and how to best use your venue to become a leader in private events.

Please note: This session focuses on private events, not stadium wide events such as concerts.
