Associate Chair of the DeVos Management Program

Mike Redlick is the Associate Chair of the DeVos Management Program for the DeVos Sport Business Management Program at the University of Central Florida. The DeVos Sport Business Management Program offers a Master’s Degree in sports business management as well as an MBA within the School of Business at UCF. Nationally recognized as a top sports program by the NY Times, Wall Street Journal and ESPN the Magazine, the DeVos Program is based upon the pillars of Ethics, Diversity, Community Service and Leadership – all principles which are of extreme importance to Redlick both personally and professionally. He joined the DeVos Sport Business Management Program in October, 2013.
Redlick has over twenty years of sports industry experience with properties such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, NFL teams (SF 49ers, Cleveland Browns) and NBA teams (Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers). Redlick joined IMS in March 2011 and served as its Senior Vice President, Chief Sales Officer and Chief Marketing Officer for three racing seasons. Redlick oversaw all revenue streams including corporate partnerships, suites, hospitality, ticket sales, licensing and marketing. While at IMS his efforts led to over a 25% increase in sales revenues. He came to IMS after serving as the vice president of business development for the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL.
During his tenure as Executive Vice President of Business Operations with the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA Redlick helped the franchise increase sponsorship revenue from zero in 2001 to more than $20 million in 2006, leading the team in the NBA’s smallest market to top-10 status in sponsorship revenue. He also negotiated and administered the team’s eight-figure naming rights deal with FedEx for its new arena and was a key member of the senior management team that developed that state-of-the-art, $250-million FedExForum arena. Redlick’s other professional endeavors were with SFX Sports Group, Cleveland Browns of the NFL and Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA.
Redlick received a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in sports administration from Ohio University. He also received his juris doctorate from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University. Redlick and his wife, Danielle, have a daughter, Jadyn, and a son, Sawyer.
